We moved from a combination of Excel, WhatsApp, and a foreign accounting package. CharteredPro replaced all three with one workspace our entire team actually uses.

The audit workspace with working papers, evidence linking, and review notes is exactly what our firm needed. And the regulatory alerts keep us ahead of FIRS circulars.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is CharteredPro designed specifically for Nigeria?

Yes. CharteredPro is built from the ground up for Nigerian accounting professionals. This means Nigerian tax structures (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT, PIT), Nigerian regulatory authorities (FIRS, FRC, ICAN, CAC), Nigerian compliance workflows, Naira as the first-class currency, and mobile-first design for Nigeria's professional workforce. It is not a foreign application with a Naira symbol added.

Can I use CharteredPro for audit engagements?

Yes. CharteredPro includes a full audit workspace with engagement planning, risk assessment, materiality, structured working papers, evidence linking, findings tracking, review workflows, and audit report generation — all aligned with ISA as adopted in Nigeria.

Is my data secure?

Security is a first-class feature. CharteredPro uses Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security, meaning your data is isolated at the database level — no other firm can access your records. All documents are stored in private buckets with signed URLs. Authentication uses JWT tokens with optional MFA. The platform is designed with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 in mind.

Does it work offline?

CharteredPro is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that can be installed on your phone or laptop. It caches the app shell for fast loading and shows a clear offline indicator when your connection drops. Sensitive operations (posting journals, filing taxes, approving reports) are blocked offline for your safety — the app will never pretend a transaction succeeded when the server hasn't confirmed it.

Can my clients access the system?

Yes. CharteredPro includes a secure client portal where your clients can upload requested documents, view deadlines, see approved reports, and communicate with your team — all without seeing your internal working papers, review notes, or other clients' data.

How does CharteredPro handle regulatory changes?

Every tax rule and regulatory item in CharteredPro is versioned. When a new Finance Act or FIRS circular is published, the platform creates a new version while preserving the old one. Historical reports always use the version that was in effect at the time. The regulatory intelligence engine can also identify which of your clients may be affected by a change and surface alerts on your dashboard.
